Thanks Mr. Britton, I read your response on Spey Claves, sorry you could not get all you had to say on my site, On this site you have to limit your ranting, but I realize this topic is very passionate to you. First I must let you know that I am not a big stick guy, single hand only, and that I am a very passionate Steelheader, and my site is not only about selling flies, but maybe some of them may help you next season. lol You and others are obviously very passionate about your cause and I agree it is not only a very good one, but one that as you know has been going on for a very long time.
You do not agree with every thing I have said, as I don't agree with every thing you have had to say, but at least we can agree with the same passion that we all would like to see the Steelhead swim freely with out the obstruction of the nets in the Skeena River or elsewhere, including the test nets or the many neglected nets placed by the First Nations. I certainly was aware that fly fishing for Steelhead was tough this season, but fortunately not as bad as yours. I don't know where you were fishing, to say that the river levels were normal this year because they certainly were not, in fact they were higher and maintained this higher level most of the season except for a brief period, as I was on the rivers almost every day, but that is not really the point nor do I think it is yours. I don't disagree with you that fishing nets are a problem for the Steelhead, they were not the only reason the early run to the Morice and other rivers were weak. The Nass water shed run of Steelhead was also weak this year. Thanks for your over zealous comments Jim, keep up your ranting, and you are welcome to place any links to pages or info here. You have made a lot of claims, so you can back them up for every one to see with the stats that you have. Marketic, does not agree with your claims, but to be fair I think we can gree to agree there is a problem. BR
