Hey, Bigred as you already know is is my wish to fish the Skeena river and it's many tributaries for the fall 07 season! As a traveling angler I am glad to see their are many options as to floating, jet boating, and walk-in wading as it give the angler differant chooses to pursue when in the area! Great chrome steelhead that Peter is holding and say hello from me as McBike was a wealth of information when I was in the Smithers fishing the Bulkley! Cheers Big Andy Do you find this valuable?

Thanks for your Comments Big Andy. Hope to see you on the Skeena in 07, it is to me the premier river in British Columbia, if not the world. I have spent more then 35 year on this river, and it still sends chills up my spine every time I cast a fly in its waters. I will certainly say hello to Peter at Mcbike, the excellant staff there is always ready to help with your fly fishing needs. Big Red Do you find this valuable?

Hey Bigred, Does the Skeena fish better for steelhead around the coastal area's or further up the system? Or does it depend on times in the season? Thanks Big Andy Do you find this valuable?

Hi Big Andy. The Skeena River fishes better away from the coast, the Skeena River is affected by the ocean tide backing up the river about 50 miles. There are a few areas to fly fish for steelhead within this area, with nice gravel bed runs, but you will be limited to fish only while the tide is out. Do you find this valuable?
