All Stinger flies this year are tied with a stiffer Stinger line, and 2/0 and up are tied with Tyger Wire.


BULKLEY DEMON

The Bulkley Demon is a new fly to the Big Red Fly Box. The Fly is available with a 1/0 - 2/0 Stinger Hook in Gamakatsu Red Octopus, as well as a #2.



I am very interested in further field tests with this fly.

TELKWA CLOWN

The Telkwa Clown is a great fly for Coho, but it works well also for Steelhead.
I have added thread and epoxied it to make sure the hook does not slip off the line.

SKEENA DANCER

The Skeena Dancer is a great fly. It is very strong, and I have taken many Steelhead on one fly. The Articulated version may very well top the original. Field tests this fall may answer that question.

DEMON DANCER
The Demon Dancer is a fly I use most of the time for Steelhead. I have taken many Steelhead and Bull Trout on the Stream Demon Dancer in both the 2/0 and 3/0 Partridge Traditional Hook. I am sure that the Demon tied with this stinger hook will do as well. It will be available in 2008 tied on a 1/0 2/0 and as shown here in the 3/0.

JAQUI'S CLOWN
Jaqui's Clown is a fly the Pink Salmon will not leave alone. If you can get this fly past the Pinks, Coho can be found.

RUBY'S RAGE
Ruby's Rage has been a great fly since coming on the scene. I have hit many big Steehead with the traditional 3/0, so I hold out good hope for the articulated version. Also tied with 2/0 Octopus, and !/0's, #1's, and #2's

GREEN DEAN
Look out for this one, I have a couple of Chinook flies I have been fishing with for years, but I wanted to stir things up, so this articulated monster should do that. It is tied on a 4/0 Octopus Red, and is also available in 3/0, shown below. You don't want to go with a small hook in this case.





The Green Dean is tied with 30lb test Tyger leader. This leader is a plastic coated wire leader, so strength to tackle the big Chinook is not a problem.

The 4/0 Red Octopus hook is very strong, and needed for these big fish.

The Grean Dean in the 3/0 also comes with a very strong Octopus hook.

Chinook are very aggressive feeders and will attack these flies hard, while in their spawning rivers the need to feed is no longer an issue but their aggression seems to escalate.

SCARLET DANCE



The Scarlet Dancer is a great Steelhead fly, and has also taken many Chinook.

I use the Scarlet Dancer a lot in the Bulkley River especially while going after the big Bucks or last through the run. The Scarlet Dancer fishes well weighted.

This fly is tied with a size 2 stinger hook, and is also available in a 1/0 & 3/0 for fishing Chinooks.
